Using the Big 6 Research Process in History Class

Students in Mrs. Perkins' 6th grade social studies classes learned about the Big 6 Research Process today. Before starting their Black History research, they learned the process that they will be taking throughout the entire project. In order to give the students a visual of the Big 6, I created a Glog that contains all 6 steps of the research process and a few extra resources that help explain the steps.

After collaborating with Mrs. Perkins and going over all the project details, I created a pathfinder for the 6th graders to use when it comes time for them to locate their sources. Mrs. Perkins gave me a list of all the African Americans that she wanted to be included in this research project. I then located resources for those particular individuals and organized them on the pathfinder.
