21st Century Conference Fun!!

Today Mrs. Fluckey and I presented at the 21st Century Conference in Bedford, IA. Our presentation was titled "Engaging Students With Technology Driven Projects". One of the projects that I presented followed the different levels of thinking according to Bloom's Taxonomy and included Bloom's Digital Taxonomy to come up with different web tools for each stage. Another project that I presented focused on contract grading, School of Excellence characteristics, and the most rigorous level of thinking- the creating stage. A project that Mrs. Fluckey presented focused on using blogs in the classroom. She used the backwards design for the creation of her unit. This morning we had the opportunity to listen to Kevin Honeycutt speak about engaging our students with the use of technology. He is an awesome speaker who is very inspiring. His website is full of great resources. Visit his website to gain some different ideas as to how you can engage your students with the use of technology.
